About
I was a quiet, withdrawn child who felt more at home in my imagination than in reality. At night, I couldn't sleep because I was making up stories — not because my life wasn't exciting, but rather to find a refuge in them, something that made life more bearable. To this day, writing is that refuge and my connection to myself and something greater.
My first book is about transgenerational trauma, relocation and growing up without a father. In this story, I try to bring together the two countries that shaped me — countries that were once one but are now at war with each other. Yet, even through all the pain, I also try to reflect on the absurdity of life and find humor in the midst of tragedy.
